Thayer Ventures Acquisition Corporation Announces the Separate Trading of its Class A Common Stock and Redeemable Warrants Commencing February 9, 2021
VALENCIA, CA, February 9, 2021 Thayer Ventures Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: TVACU) (the Company) today announced that, commencing today, February 9, 2021, holders of the units sold in the Companys initial public offering of 17,250,000 units which commenced trading on December 11, 2020, may elect to separately trade the shares of Class A common stock and redeemable warrants included in the units. Those units not separated will continue to trade on The Nasdaq Capital Market (Nasdaq) under the symbol TVACU, and the shares of Class A common stock and redeemable warrants that are separated will trade on Nasdaq under the symbols TVAC and TVACW, respectively. No fractional warrants will be issued upon separation of the units and only whole warrants will trade. Holders of units will need to have their brokers contact Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company, the Companys transfer agent, in order to separate the units into shares of Class A common stock and redeemable warrants.
The units were initially offered by the Company in an underwritten offering. Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated and Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. acted as joint book-running managers for the offering.
